My daughter was in love with these from the infomercial, which shows the kids skating smoothly around and coasting long distances. Even though I knew it may not work exactly as shown, I thought they would at least be similar to regular skates and she could ride around our neighborhood on them. They do not work like that at all. She quickly mastered the technique but it only lets her coast for a couple of seconds. If you try to spin the wheels with your hand they quickly bind up and don't spin past a couple of rotations. They don't 'ride' fast enough to go over simple cracks in the sidewalk, which I know it says not to ride on sidewalks but that is exactly what it shows the kids in the commercial doing. I think I may try some WD-40 and see if that helps. They provide two tools which look the same and a huge 'instruction manual' that includes two pages of picture instructions, no explanations. This instructions only show how to attach them to your shoe. The other page talks about safety. No instructions on how to ride them. The rest of the booklet is the same thing just in several different language. No where in the manual does it talk about how to loosen the wheels, although that is what I assume the tools may be for. Sure wish they provided better instructions. After a month of use my daughter rarely gets them out. She is pretty disappointed as she had earned this money herself. Such a waste of 20 bucks!Go ahead and purchase knee and elbow pads with these. lol. We love these, we just had to get used to them. Expect to bust your butt a few times until you get used to them. They were able to fit my shoe which is a women's 8 1/2, my son's which is a men's 7, my daughters which is girl's 1, and my youngest's which is boy's 13.I bought these a year ago, and my nephew is still using them. So definitely a good buy. These are our second pair and just as awesome. My son bought me blue ones for my birthday so I bought him green ones for his. Just line up one foot in front of the other like being on a single 4 wheeler skate, and it is easy.Bought these for my daughter and she really likes them. She can put them on by herself but needs assistance taking them off. They're called street rollers but the insert says not to use on the street. Only on smooth surfaces.i put it on takes too long to put on and it is dangerous on my end never could wear itI was very reluctant to buy these as I was reading the reviews. My daughter wanted this more than anything for Christmas so of course I purchase them since they weren't very expensive I figured she wouldn't use them very often. It took a little practice but they are definitely still her favorite gift she Glides around the house and outside perfectlyFun idea of a little too hard for my then eight-year-old to use/ get the hang of.
