Probably better if you have short hair. Mine's really long and I got them horribly stuck in my hair; they have spikes, which are probably great if you've had trouble with rollers slipping out. I don't have that problem, so I almost had to cut these out. It was terrible. But my hair is really too long to use curlers in, and I know that and usually braid the top two feet of it or so, and only curl the ends. Don't use these rollers on more than about 12" of hair.what I expected but a little smaller, if you have a lot of hair these things wont hold and top pops off, if you do a little at a time they are good.Hard to sleep in because they dig into your headThis is a good sized roller, however, the hard plastic points stick into your head if you sit against a chair or lie down.My 88 year old mother was so pleased when I was able to find these rollers for her. Her old ones were, well, old and were breaking. These are very hard to find but they are exactly what she wanted. She hates the other types of rollers and I've been tasked with finding more. The last time I had to replace them, it was a nightmare. This time, Amazon to the rescue. They were even delivered on a Sunday so I when I went to visit mom I could help her roll her hair.Very small and hard to old hair. I would not recommend sleeping in itThe kind of roller I like to use, but I still need a bigger roller ( 1 or 1&1/2 in.). They don't clamp on as good as my old rollers, which are at least 15 yrs old and are breaking.Did not work for me.I'm not a fan of these rollers. These roller's have little spike like thing's to hold the hair and make rolling the hair easier these spikes also hold the hair and make unrolling the hair difficult. If you do not take your time with the unrolling process you will end up with tangled hair and in some cases roller's stuck in your hair.
